What age to join pony club

As title reads really,I have had ponies myself since I was a young child but never joined the pony club but after seeing what it has done for a lot of my friends kids Im eager for my boys to become members they are only 2 and 3 at the moment so obviously not yet but was wondering what is the youngest age they can join.

My daughters just joined, she is 4. there is nobody younger than 4 at our branch. i'm not sure if you have to be a certain age. i suppose it's when you feel your little'un is ready for it. my daughter is finding the hour long rallies a bit too long at the moment, she's had enough after 1/2 an hour! but her friend who is the same age is fine and she has just done the week long pony camp!

Oh not that long to wait then,think I will give my local branch a call,my 3 yr old will be 4 in December and he loves being a part of things so Im thinking he will get more out of it my 2 year old who will be 3 in December is obviously younger but also has a much shorter attention span than his brother had at the same edge so he may be more like your daughter.
Think that sort of makes sense lol

My daughter started this year at 5, there is a couple of little ones a little younger though (4 I think)

If they start too young they spend too much time in LR class.
I remember teaching a 3yo who could do rising trot--he was very serious and rarely smiled but he did go on to BSJA at about 10yo and is now make a living in the horse world.
Most tinies find a 2hr rally too tiring and get a bit bored waiting for older brothers/sisters to finish.
My own son started at 7 and just spent one year in LR ride and started tetrathlon at 8. Think PC gives them a good grounding in the basics of care, safe handling and riding safely on the road which they will never forget as well as opportunities to compete to progressively higher levels.

No minimum age, but it might put you off when you find out how expensive it is, if they aren't really going to reap the benefits when they are that young

My eldest joined at 6, and my youngest will do the same next year. It also depends on the club as to whether they are going to run enough things for tiny kids to make it worth while joining.
