I am taking my Stage 1 exam soon and am confused about what I am supposed to wear!

The dress code says a long sleeved shirt and tie must be worn for the jumping section but you don't jump in Stage 1 so am I ok to wear a smart jumper and top?

Have you actually done any prep for this exam? The dress code is quite clear.

You need to wear either a shirt and tie, or shirt and stock. You are allowed to wear either a plain navy or black v-neck jumper OR a hacking jacket at Stage 1. A "smart jumper and top" probably won't cut it, and depending on the examiner, you may not be allowed to continue with the exam. You'll need to wear gloves as well.

As above. Light jods, shirt, tie and jumper or hacking jacket. Gloves are also a must. Make sure your boots are clean aswell. Cant remember the rules for whips at stage one but for the two, we had to take a schooling whip and a crop.
