Okay, a bit tongue in cheek but...........................................................:D
I'm having bother with a neighbour who is being very antisocial. A tricky one though as she is around 90 years old. The council, environmental health, social work etc are all involved and on the case, so fingers crossed it will be sorted soon.
ANYWAY.............
A lady from the council antisocial behaviour team has just visited me.
Just after she left, the woman downstairs said "That dog was peeing on my doorstep at 5.30 this morning. How disgusting is that ?".
She was of course referring to my 8yo Staffie, Missy.
So, while my Mum and I were ASLEEP, Missy must have picked up my door key, pulled open the living room door, UNLOCKED the front door  (it's one of those where you have to lift the handle at the same time as turning the key), and let herself out to pee at the neighbour's door. (We're in a block of 4 flats. The neighbour's door is beside ours, about 10 feet apart. We are the upstairs flat, so no back door).
THEN, she must have closed and LOCKED the door again when she came back in (push handle up and turn key), closed the living room door behind her, and returned my key to where she got it :rolleyes:.
UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! :D
I know I HAVE trained Missy to pick things up for me due to having a bad back (arthritis), she can take socks and shoes off and so on, BUT for her to have let herself out as described above has to be some kind of miracle ! :D:D:D

Never underestimate the ingenuity and intelligence of a dog, Im sure she was just expressing her opinion of the old lady.

It seems to me this old lady does need some support and I hope the social worker is able to help her as she is clearly losing her marbles.

Missy does amaze me at times with all of the tricks she can do .
Unlocking the door and locking it again behind her must be a new record for the dog world :D
She's 16" to the top of her shoulder. The door handles are 3 feet up from the floor. The highest she can reach, standing on her hind legs, is 3 feet with her front paws and 3'4" with the tip of her nose. Technically, she CAN reach the door handles, JUST. But to unlock and PULL the doors open too ? :D

Dobiegirl, the woman has been behaving like a total cow for years. I first contacted social work (over a year ago), thinking she needed help, but visits from S/W and her GP found nothing wrong with her medically or care wise.
We are going the antisocial route because of the GP and S/W finding nothing wrong. She really is a nasty piece of work, and other neighbours have confirmed in interviews that she is being downright nasty. I'm not getting much sleep because of her, but hearing her saying that about the dog made me laugh a lot :D

Sorry to be a misery :o but I am struggling to believe a dog can 1)find the right key for a chosen door 2) insert correct key into matching keyhole 3) manipulate said key to release lock. I've known dogs to open doors, I've got one:D but to use a key, nah, I reckon someone forgot to lock the door!

Oops, sense of humour failure, apologies!!

My dog didn't really unlock and open the door ;)
It's just one of the things my crazy neighbour comes out with.
That's as well as her shouting constant verbal abuse and insults (b*tch, cow, tart, b*t*rd, and so on). The council antisocial behaviour team have a big file re her behaviour, and also evidence from other neighbours that she is being nasty. She regularly has her own daughter in tears too.
Just thought it would maybe amuse some of you by posting what she said about my dog and my interpretation of how she could have done it ;):)
