What are martingale stoppers for and which bit do they go on.

Sorry divvy question but i understand the why and hows of rein stoppers with running martingales but do you need a martingale stopper as well (1 or 2) and whereabouts do they go.

Not sure what you are referring to do you mean the rubber bit that joins the neckstrap to the strap that goes on the girth ?

I assume you mean the thick rubber ring which sits at an angle in order to stop the main part of the martingale sliding out of position. I like to use them. It has to be fed down the neckstrap and effectively holds the martingale in the correct place.

Yes thats it, so i slide down next strap and its at an angle on the cross bit on the chest?

Yes so it is diaganally across both bits...

I can never understand why martingale manufacturers can't put them on when they make them!
