Hey all, I'm currently studying at Duchy College studying Equitation Training and Behaviour.

I have a Welfare and Industry module I have to produce an interactive portfolio.Which I have picked Over breeding in the UK.

I would be grateful if you could all start a conversation/debate about this topic which can include any experiences people have had which horses from Dealers and any cases people know about welfare cases or any rescue horses which people may own.

Also if you could add any extra information about how you feel the crises of over breeding would help,

Thank you for your time.

Well, I breed, on a very small scale, sports horses. I have sold two of my foals and kept two, both to produce. I sold the two fillies with the request from both owners that if their circumstances change I have first refusal on buying them back. I don't think this is what you are wanting though as your question seems to be more aimed at over breeding and poor breeding.

I'm a bit confused by your last paragraph, - how we feel the crises of over breeding would help what?

You keep banging on about the crises of overbreeding ,wheres your evidence for that statement .In reality fewer horses are being bred so in a few years there will be a shortage of good youngstock.
However of course you are still looking for people to supply you with material for your college work! Surely you should be reading everything you can to raise your own hypothesis!

Ditto.

And perhaps learning how to express yourself more clearly! Did you read it through before posting?
