There was a post or two last week saying people were having trouble getting through to them. Has anyone managed? I still can't get them to pick up.

I have had the money taken from my account on the 10th!! and still no bit. Anybody know what they are up to.

I am still waiting for my refund after over a week. I have emailed them about 10 times, rang god knows how many times and no response.

What I want to know is how on earth have they been allowed to get away with taking people's money and not giving refunds where refunds due or exchanging items? Surely there must be something we can do to get our money back from them?

I agree - they were incredibly quick to send out the original item and said they would refund the money when I then contacted them but have heard zero since. I know they've got the bit because they signed for it 2 Fridays ago. Am so cross. Its only £35 but I'd really like it back.

This is the thing they use:

This payment was processed by Protx, a third-party payment service provider. If you have any questions regarding the online card payment system, contact protx at: support@protx.com

I used my debit card - will I still be able to make a claim?

Aha. I just kept on hitting redial when ever I got cut off. After about the 15th call someone picked up. He assures me the bit will be posted tomorrow. We'll see.

I'll never use a bit bank again after Gill's Bit Bank went bankrupt owing me a refund for a Myler I had that was no good. I called them, returned it the next day and by the end of the week they had the liquidators in!!!

Not casting any aspersions about shop4bits....just nervous about the viability of bit banks after this experience.

Amazingly I spoke to the guy earlier who said they were at the Royal Welsh last week and didn't have internet access. He assures me I'll get my refund asap. Watch this space!!

I had the same problem with them. I was nearing the end of a trial and wanted to check if they had the same bit 1/4" bigger. If they didn't I would have kept the bit I had on trial. Couldn't get hold of them for ages then when I finally got the chap he said they'd been away at a show for most of the week, was very helpful and sorted my query in seconds.

I can appreciate that it's a valid excuse but it sounds like they could do with leaving someone at home to handle enquiries!

they are not doing their reputation any favours with such poor service. I just got an email today telling me I should get the bit on thursday, now when I spoke to him on Monday he said he would send it out special that day!.

Grrr

Perhaps someone should e-mail them a link to this thread.... No point in complaining if it doesn't get back to them.
