What are the best make of knee boots

Looking to get a pair of knee boots for one of our boys to use whilst hacking on roads.

Seen two types -

One from Westropp which is a combined brushing / knee boot. And one from Jeffries which is just a knee boot.

Like the look of the combined one as figure it wouldn't slip or impede the movement of the knee.

Anyone got any thoughts / good or bad experiences ??

I prefer the Jeffries knee boots, they offer superb protection and don't interfere with my horse's movement.

A girl at the yard used to use the combined brushing but her horse fell in the field with them on and when she got back to the yard his knee had mud on it, she thinks the knee protected was rolled back when he fell forward and stopped protecting his knee, I'm not sure myself but if so it's lucky it wasn't on the road or his knee would have been a mess :s

Out of the two you mentioned Jeffries would be the best. They are very expensive at about £70 a pair.

I bought some leather ones from Ebay & they were considerably cheaper & in my view just as good. Either type you choose ensure that they are leather as they will give your horse more proection should he go down on his knees. I prefer the blanket backed ones to the skeleton type but both give protection. I don't think much of the neoprene ones.
