What are the best riding boots?

Hello,
I just recently bought a pair of shires mortetta long boots, but i have found that they are incredibly wide around the calf. Does any body have any recommendations for AFFORDABLE long riding boots that have slim fitting calf?

I think Moretta are country boots, rather than riding boots, so designed to be wider in the calf. Is it the country boot look you want, because afaik they usually only come in regular or wide. You'll find greater choice in width fittings with long riding boots

Ok thankyou, I think that they were country boots but i think i confused them as riding boots . They are ok for me when i am just hacking. I will have a look at long riding boots now.

Agree with above country boots will never fit around your leg like a riding boot, shires do a field boot they are for riding and reasonably priced.

I personally like mountain horse for riding boots but they are not the cheapest! You do often see them on ebay second hand my last pair lasted 6 years but I literally just ride in mine.

One of my liveries has just bought some Premier Equine long riding boots, which are lovely, and not expensive. I am cursing my long calves, as they don't do them in tall!
