I've tried ringing but haven't got any answer and knowing about DH's dubious delivery I am a little wary about ordering ..


I need a pair of 'MOUNTAIN HORSE XCELLSIOR' for the 19th .. they have my size and colour and are stating 7-10 days delivery (the 19th being 9 days / 7 working days) away ..

Now if I put them on NDD do you think that they will make it here in time

Have rung two local tack shops that are listed as MH stockists to see if they could order them in but they said no , not in time for the 19th

Would it be crazy to drive the 200 odd miles to the nearest DH shop to buy some ?

Yes! There's bound to be somewhere closer apart from anything. If anybody lives close enough to go there and buy them for you and send them to you it might be quicker, but otherwise I'd phone them, or phone any other stockists that are closer to home.

JMP is in Rhiwbina. Have you tried HFS or GFS in Bridgend? I doubt they'll have them but worth a try. Failing that there's a couple of places in the Abergavenny and Chepstow areas (can't remember their names but they'll be on yell.com or something. Assume Countrywide don't stock MH?
Somewhere Bristol way might even be worth checking - certainly closer than going to DH. Just go to yell and put in tack shops or saddlers South Wales (first) and then try Bristol if you get no luck there.
 
Oh , I'd forgotten HFS/GFS do tack too.. will ask if they can order them in when I pick my feed up later

have you tried pembroke saddlery in haverfordwest if they are still there??? Alos try talibont pets in talibont near aberystwyth again if they are still theere as i havnt been at uni in aber for 4 years now- ooo i feel old!! if not PM me I live very near olney (DH)

Derby House are normally pretty good at replying to emails if you wanted to ask them

I ordered some stuff from them recently some of which was out of stock so they split it into three deliveries, all of which arrived within five days of me ordering!! Think the DPD guy got a bit fed up as I wasn't home for any of them
