What are the chances?

It's possible. If both parents are heterozygous ie they only have one copy of a 'colour' gene (tobiano or splash or frame etc...) then it's possible that neither parent will pass it on to the foal.

Ahh okk, its just i have a dark bay filly and her dam was lemon and white, we bought her not knowing she was in foal. The sire is unknown but when we contacted the old owners they said it could be a skewbald stallion that they had in their neighbouring field. However they only actually owned the mare for 2 weeks before we bought her! So she could of infact been pregnant before, nothing is certain!

Another thing the filly is standing at 15.hh at 2yrs and 6 months, her dam was 15.hh. Does anyone know what sort of height she will mature at without knowing the height of her sire?

I did do that when she was about a yearling but the result came back about 16.hh so I thought it couldnt be accurate, do u think she could reach that at maturity? As i am 5ft 8 I need something to take up my leg
