that let you attach a bit to a headcollar.
I want to by a pair to use when loading my horse rather than messing arround trying to swap between bridle and headcollar.
Ive googled couplings but thats not it and its bugging me now

Don't know the proper name, but Robinsons sell them. Or you could easily make your own out of a bit of webbing and some clips or velcro.

Thanks everyone,
I put my bridle over the top when going but its coming back thats the prob. Suppose its a bit lazy really as I could put his headcollar on, then the slip head with bit on top before loading to come home but I have been just loading him in the bridle then have to take it off and put his headcollar on and I dont trust him enough yet not to do something stupid whilst Im swapping them over

I've always called them bit straps.

They don't necessarily give you very good control though, in comparison to having a proper bridle. There's a lot of room for evasion of the bit as a head collar slips about a lot more. But that's only when you're riding, I've never tried them for loading or anything.

Good luck ordering them from Robinsons each time I try they say they are discontinued but they are always in the catalogue! I use the metal clips for attaching a bit to the headcollar on the foals but not on bigger horses, a slip head is easier to get on and off if you are using it for loading, etc.
