Hello all,

What are the problems with a horse not being registered to a breed society, not having sire and dam on his passport and those details not to be traceable.... when participating in county showing? I know obviously I will not be able to enter breed specific classes ( its not a M&M he is a PBA :) ), but what about if I wanted to do other classes? Will I have problems registering him with showing societies such as BSPS because I don't have this information??

Thanks

xx

I don't think it would be a problem providing it's not breed classes. Genie's unregistered which is a right royal pain as she's very obviously M&M so we're stuck at local level.

As you've already said, you cant go for breed classes, but other classes such as Hacks/hunters/etc you just need to be registered with the society who manages that "class".
For example SHBGB could be the society you need to send off passport (can be any type of passport) to get that stamped and then placed on their register. Breeding is not required, although if you know, you can put it on the form.

This of SHBGB as the hunter version of BSJA or BD. It's just the society you affiliate with.
