what are the signs of stomach ulscers?

I presume you mean stomach ulcers in a horse lol?

Sometimes you CAN see symptoms: windsucking, crib biting, sensitive having the girth done up, weight loss, loss of appetite, poor condition, maybe odd colicky bouts.

Sometimes you CAN'T see symptoms but have to think long and hard about your horse's management and routine. Whilst there's always the odd exception to the rule, most horses that have inadequate (or any) turnout, too much hard feed and not enough fibre, little or no routine, competition fit, too much school work and too little hacking, or in other words are not allowed to be a horse will be stressed and stress leads to ulcers.
