There seems to always be so many unhappy posts that I thought I'd start a more cheerful one :-) so here goes....

- my share horse made me giggle this morning my being stupidly terrified of moving from one field to another!!
- my little 15yr old lurcher had a crazy mad running fit this morning, havn't seen her run like that for ages.
- I did a good job of moving all the electric fencing round so that's a good job done :-)
- I'm going to see my best friend tonight in hospital, not good in some ways but at the weekend she was dreadfully ill with blood poisoning and now with the right treatment she's finally improving. Also I can't wait to hug her cause I miss her so much!!
- I'm hoping that my hovis friday diaries will come in the post today :-))

Pls continue thread as we need some cheer I think (me especially) xxxxx

I am happy (and will be grateful) as i am having a riding lesson later and i know (as my instructor is awsome) that i will learn something new and build on what i already know! looking forward to doing some more 'figure of 8's as Ben(cob) was really responding to them last week and for the first time i felt like he was listening all the way becasue he had to as he couldnt just presume where we were going!!! i am still a novice really but having great fun and learning all the time so no doubt i will be happy and grateful! :)

Ben sounds lovely :-) a bit like my boy who is a shire x cob. It's good if you keep them guessing a bit! Enjoy your lesson, I've got one next weds and can't wait xx

I went on a hack yesterday. This is a big deal, last year my horse was very nappy and would only go out in company, or we'd have a huge fight if we went out by ourselves and it was all very stressfull. Yesterday we had a loose rein and no spinning around. Chuffed!

I'm taking my dog the beach later on :D

I was grateful to have completed our early morning hack this morning without tripping/falling on his face/bucking!

I was also grateful Saturday morning that when picking out his back feet the sudden 'cat' stretch with his back leg missed me and ditto the poo the he did next (which was so close to my head I felt it swoosh past!):D:D

Thanks Supertrooper... yer Ben is lovvely and really looks after his rider but this means that he tends to just do what he thinks he should be doing instead of waiting for instructions (if that makes sense) which is lovely for confidence but now im learning properly (after 2 years of ploding realised i needed some porper lessons from scratch!) i am realising the importance of keeping him listening!

and Lara b .... hehehe one of those 'that was just a little bit too close' moments!!!

That the grass is growing again :)
My boss isn't in :)
I have managed to get 2 pages done on my website (at home before I came to work) :)

Im happy because my old appaloosa is making a really good recovery from a lameness that the vet said, last week, he probably wouldnt recover from.
I didnt have a chance to have my own horse until a couple of years ago, so everytime i look at my 2, I'm happy.
Kx

I'm happy that after months of stress a for sale sign should be on my house by tonight and I can start the journey to closing that chapter. Sad because I love that little house but happy because it means another new adventure..and after 5 years in one place it's time to move on.

I'm happy my dogs are all fit and healthy despite some of their ages, and that my horse is super fit but stopped the super stupid behaviour that came with the fitness!! So now we can just get on and enjoy the summer...just need to up my fitness to keep up with him!!

happy becuase my horse is happy

and happy becuase i've found someone who can sort out my crookedness - which will in turn help said horse :)

I'm happy because two years ago today I got my super cob. We have had a great two years. His loud neigh this morning when I went to get him made me smile.

I'm also very happy as my Dad seems to be improving after his stay in hospital. He was up and about yesterday so looks like the treatment is working.

Grateful that my share horse is improving in leaps and bounds after being given a max of 3 weeks to improve at Christmas...and that she's proved EVERYONE wrong - anyone who said she was dangerous and needed PTS when she was a youngster, whoever said she'd never be ridden, whoever said she wouldn't make it through the last year, or ever go out again...all been proved wrong :)

Happy that I faced a big demon of mine today and hacked out round a particular route where I had a fairly hairy fall! :)

Pleased that the photographer who thought he'd lost all our photos from my Cob's first BIG win and first BIG championship has now rescued them from a corrupt card so I have proper photos!
I would post them (I HAVE bought them!) but got flamed the last time I did so I won't :(

9.30am:

The sky is blue, the sun is shining, light breeze to keep the bugs away, 24C outside.

Horses are all out, so no stalls to clean.

OH and daughter are at work and school respectively.

I am on a go slow and am steadfastly ignoring the mental 'To do' list.:D

Just heard that Zeus has his 6th foal this year on the ground, huge chestnut colt, owners thrilled, so that's good.:)
