These are my youngsters at their first shows. I was wondering what everyone else is doing with theirs? Do you do any young horse qualifiers?

The grey is 5 years old currently jumping BN, Disc with my OH. She was left to mature and only starting competing last month, these are her at her first show last month.

Hi, i can't see your pictures, don't know if the link has failed or its my laptop. I have a 4 year old :) We have our 1st show next weekend! Very excited! aswell as nervous! Hopefully he will behave :D

I can't see your pictures :(

I have a 5yr old TB ex-racer who I got 6 months ago. We're not doing anything quite as fancy as you! My horse is quite adolescent (sp?)) still. Because he was broken and trained as a 1 1/2 - 2yr old its stunted his growth slightly and he still has a lot of growing to do so pyhsically I have to be careful to build him up slowly.

Mentally he's lush though SO easy and strightforward just gets on with anything.. I LOVE him!!

We have done a couple BD prelims where he has been placed. hoping to move up to Novice by end of the summer once he's a bit stronger and get some points. Hes been XC schooling where he jumped everything first time and without a lead and just Clear Round showjumping 70cm/80cm stuff and hes been jumping double clear first time, plus some low key flatwork clinics :D

This was him 6 months ago when I first sat on him:-

This was him 3 months later at his first BD and first show where he came 6th with 63%:-

I'm hoping to have him as a top class RC allrounder and low level affilliated horse to do a bit of anything and everything with :)

Wish I could see your pics!

Heres pics of one I bred, 5 yrs old and now owned by somebody else. He's jumping BE100, and been clear everytime CC. Its so great to know that your breeding programme works well, and that one of my stallion's kids is out there doing so well. He's by my Sec D stallion out of my old TB mare, and I brought on, and competed both parents.

Your horses are lovely, Cundlegreen- I would be very proud if he was a horse of mine that I had bred and porduced he looks fantastic.

Firewell- I know how challenging ex racers can be and it looks like your doing a great job with him, he looks so relaxed and like hes really enjoying himself.

Will try again with the pics, here is the black
