what are you feeding your horses right now???

Hi fi, triple top up, unmolassed sugar beet, joint supplement, brewers yeast, hay. Oh and a vit and min supplement

Fed twice a day, in medium work. Horse gets wound up on cereals. This feed is perfect at the moment.

Cool cubes
Hi-fi lite
Baileys endurance mix (just bought it)
Hay/haylage depending on whether he is being competed next day

Want to try winergy equilibrium medium energy though

Mollichaff calmer (half scoop) really to enable them to stand still in field whilst I rug/pick feet etc! Balancer and joint supp. This twice a day.
Every am they have their decahedrons with hi fibre nuts. Hay at night as back in trash/winter paddock due to rain we've been having.

Small bit of blue chip and alfa a with haylage when in and good grass in the field.

After this month he'll be back onto hay though.

He does brilliant on this does fizz him up and keeps the weight on, in the winter all I do is up the blue chip and add some speedi beat.

Welsh cross (retired veteran) - Balancer
Trad Cob (retired nine year old) - Balancer
These ponies are usually out 24/7, but due to grass coming through they are in for a day and a night and out for a day and a night - to manage laminitis in one and weight gain in the other.

IDxTB - dropped a bit of weight, so on Re-leve and Balancer, plus in day or night with ad lib haylage.

DWB - dropped weight, so on Re-leve, Equi-jewel, Balancer, Speedibeat, and in at night with ad lib haylage.

Fast Fibre & Magnesium Oxide.
Still in at night with haylage until YO says they can go out 24/7 - they'll still get a handful of FF to get their Mag ox in when their out :)

Mine have a small handful of HiFi Lite & pony nuts, with some garlic. At the moment all they are getting is carrots, as they in a different field that has some grass in, while giving their field a rest.

approx 10 hrs a day grazing on 4 acre field of average grazing shared with one or two ponies.

:D I work him 3 to 6 times a week hacking for 1-2 hrs a time or schooling for about 30 mins, or lunged on the pessoa for 20 mins. Looks quite good at the mo!!!

16hh ISH balanced N-hance (medium work)
14.2hh dales pony balanced low intake compertition mix (light work/ rest)

They both have ablib hay at night when stabled good grazing and hay in the field, a mug of outshine and a bit of oil

Two Section Ds in light work both on grass - one has a handful of Saracen Slim Chaff a day just to hide Brewers Yeast. They are both looking trim and I hope to keep them that way.

Dengie alfa a original, spillers horse and pony cubes, a handful of barley, carrot, swede and a scoop of garlic.

Handful of HiFi good doer just to get a joint supplement in him and I'm also trying him on turmeric to see if it helps his arthritis. Otherwise just grass.

14.2 ISH good doer in light work. A scoop of Happy Hoof, NAF vit and min supplment, Glucosimine supplement. I add water too, to make it sloppy as she gets a cough

14.2 23yr old conniextb & 11.1 mini xnf rising 5 get ad lib hay out 24/7 which is currently 2 small bales a week between them of which the 14.2 eats 3/4 of. 1/2 scoop hi-fi lite twice daily for the 14.2 & spoonful of the same for 11.1. Both good doers in light work, but both leave the hay as grass comes through. By comparison when stabled overnight in winter the 14.2 has 1/3 small bale hay a night & 11.1 has 2/3 bale split between 7 days. Feed remains the same all year as its only a token really. Both have various fruit & veg over winter & maybe a mouthful as treats a day in summer.

Feeding my WB 6yo - 1 scoop of Alfa (about to switch to hifi), 1 scoop of Topline cubes, 2 mugs of Baileys Lo Cal, Glucosamine, oil and garlic - twice a day

Working 4-5x per week for 20mins-1hr depending on hack/school/lunge/longrein days.

Getting a big bale slice of hay on an evening and living out with reasonable grazing (unless weather is horrid, when he comes in -ad lib hay.)

Baby pony is getting e slices of hay a day and two feeds each consisting of half a scoop of alfalfa, half daily dose of calm and condition a handful of linseed meal, half a scoop of rolled oats and half a scoop of beetpulp :)

I have a good doer on poor grazing so hi fi lite for bulk and to slow her down and promote chewing with Saracen Super fibre pencils... keeps her trim..

24 year old TB who has struggled to maintain condition over winter in the past is on, Hifi lite (also) and Saracen Show improver pencils - he looks fab and isnt sharp on it either....

I dont miss the days when I use to stress over feeding.. contact a nutritionist if in doubt, thats what I did...

out 24/7 on not much grass, supplemented with some haylage and straw (not masses of either!) and a small amount of sugar beet.

Mine is a rather large 3 year old :) ID/TB Filly.

They have to come in for 6 hours out of 24 hours until the end of the month so she has adlib haylage during those 6 hours.

Other than that she has a stubbs scop of Hi Fi Light and 350g of Equilibra daily in one feed. I am waiting to receive some magnesium and she has Electrolytes if she sweats heavily.

taz 17.2hh 10years - 3/4 scoop of redi grass, 3/4 scoop of fast fibre and a cup of topspec full balancer 2x a day

missy 14hh rising 3 year old - 1/2 scoop of redi grass, small handful of mix, half scoop of fast fibre

5 sections of hay once a day between the 2 of them in the field too :)

both horses are looking lean - good weight wise :)
