Ive got a rising three cob who il start doing some light breaking in with with later in the year.
Im currently feeding him Mollichaff Hoof kind and Allan & Page Fast fibre. He looks ok but as we have barley any grass left now (mostly mud!) and the hay isnt great quality, im wondering if i should change what he's on as he's starting to drop condition a bit, i was thinking of giving him winergy low energy, but i want to be careful as our grass is rich when it does come through.
What's everyone else feeding to their youngsters?

Ive got a rising 3 mostly WB, and Im feeding her Alfa-A, Sixteen plus and sugarbeet. Recently started adding Graze-on to that too. Only had her 3 weeks, and she has been putting weight on really nicely with that (was underweight before)

Mine 2yo tolerates alfalfa well so is on...

Alfalfa pellets & speedibeet soaked together.
Molasses free chaff.
Vit n min supp
Micronised linseed
Bit of ACV for palatability.

On Sundays she gets veg trimmings shared out among the herd.

Some of you feed an awful lot! (It seems to me). My 3 year old 17hh ISH is on chaff and vits and mins. He gets ad lib haylage for his forage and lives out mainly unrugged (although today I have weakened). He has dropped a bit of weight but no doubt in a month there will be grass and he will be fat!
