What are you hoping for in 2009?

2008:
Our aim was to qualify for the CHAPs Champs and we did - for four finals.
My mare had her first foal.
Results in HH for the first time!
2009
Mare going back in foal and looking forward to taking the filly out later this year.

i've just turned my difficult sec d away for two months to chill and grow up a bit, i hope to have a massively better year as 2008 was awful. hope to be able to do a very novice ode by autumn.

In 2008:

Won both of my BD outings...first time beastie and I have ever done BD
Qualified NPS Spring Champs, at one and only show
Mastered shoulder in, leg yeild, medium trot and left half pass
Got him to a good weight

For 2009:

Qualify BD
Master right half pass!!
Keep the weight off!

Managed to hack out without having a near death experience

Ride round 3ft course including fillers without rearing/napping/giving up at the second fence

2009:
Get out competing
Affiliate BSJA
Get round a XC course in one piece (it's supposed to be fun!)

Me and my welsh cob both did our first elementary test and were successful.
Getting selected at Uni Equestrian team trials.
2009:
Have lots of horsey fun, hope to qualify for Trailblazers dressage finals after been 1 point off for last 2 yrs - grrrrr.

I got my horse on loan and brought him back into work this year, he has stayed sound and he is coming on well, I love him to pieces! He isn't an easy horse but I feel like I have got to know him and his quirks, and I am enjoying working with him, he surprises me and it is really rewarding when things go right.
In 2009 I want to find the confidence to compete - I am a good rider and capable of getting my horse to work nicely (so I've been told) but I am really lacking in confidence, not because of any accident but I haven't competed in years, I'm 20 and have only had my own horse for a year so haven't really had the opportunity before now, and feel like I've missed out a bit. Theres a dressage show at my yard in April that I am determined to have a go at, so thats my target for now!

2009 To have my horse sound and pain free hes been off with injuries for nearly 2 years hes only 7.
Take my daughter and her new horse to lots of local comps and have some fun days out.
I shall concentrate on reshooling her new mare so she doesnt runaround like a giraffe .Some topline and weight would be a good thing.

Then I will post some before and after pics

5 rosettes of any colour.
To attend at least one PC rally
To do a walk and trot 'lead rein' dressage test.

Well, thats what bubs has chosen!
I would like them both to have fun and keep the special bond they have going.

I fell off George for the 1st time (quite a few falls followed)
We did our first prelim test
We won our 1st ever red rosette
We went clear round jumping (round a 1ft course!)
We did a 2ft SJ class

In 2009:
We are going to try a novice test
Would like to go SJ again
Try to crack my hacking fears

But above all have fun with George and just enjoy spending time with him.

Managed that today - hooray!

2009 : do first dressage with new hoss (entered just minutes ago so we WILL go)
Hopefully work up to some BD, some eventing and fun rides at Kelsall Hill.Oh yes, and pass trailer test!!

in 2009 I would like to have a pain free and sound horse with River - the ultimate aim would be to be able to take him for a gentle hack again - but even if he can just be sound to be a field companion that would be great.

with the youngster - to really start cracking now he's backed - hack him out, get him out and about to see a few things and perhaps do some VERY low key dressage on him.

Mainly to have two healthy and happy ponies and therefore a healthy and happy me!!!

I hope to master going downhill on Monty (he reared up and fell over on me a year ago after asking him to go down a steep hill

Get out competing regularly so he's not so nosey

Start competing in Prelim now that we've mastered canter (most of the time) at home

Get my boy jumping (note I said my boy, not me

) Nats_uk I can see a BIG yellow parcel heading your way

Above all have alot of fun with my boy

2008 - we got our first showjumping win, he came 3rd overall in my RC for dressage (beating lots of warmbloods and TB types

) and 3rd overall for adult gymkhana

.

Confidence is at an all time high and we are now quite happy to do the 'big' XC rather than the baby jumps!

Aim for 2009 is to enter my RC's ODE and get him out hunting.

2009- to get my then 5yro cometing happily and successfully at Intro and perhaps sold.
- to get my then 4yro to some dressage shows etc to see the world.
- to get both 4yro and 5yro's graded.
- to get 3yro doing some in hand shows and lightly back him

Managed to ride my horse without experiencing near death

Have taught her walk to canter and turn on the forr hand.
Jumped her over 3ft3

2009:
Take her out and do some light show jumping.
Get some xc country schooling going.
I want to go to PC camp in the summer!
Generally have fun on my pony who i've managed to turn from phsyco to calm ponio
