What are your horsey New Years resolutions?

Hi, I have many but heres the main ones:

1. To get donut boy working nicely in the school with others.
2. Take jumping lessons on nicely schooled riding school horse.
3. Use what I've learnt to start 'donut boy' jumping nicely in the school.
4. Combine 1,2 & 3 towards entering 'donut boy' into low level competitions.
5. Deal with his little spooks so we can start venturing out beyond the coutry park (read: ride him to my house so he can eat my lawn :-))

Be brave enough to do a clear round jumping class. My welshie loves to jump butI am not sure yet. I completed all my New Years resolutions for 2012 and I had loads but not sure about this year. I think if Inget this one right I will and should be a happy bunny ;)

Have a decent crack at some Novice tests.
Jump a teeny tiny clear round class.

Both of those were on last year's list :D

However, we do now hack alone without dramas, and clip, so I'm very happy to have ticked those two off this year!

Stop burring my head in the sand when it comes to schooling imperfections and get my arse in gear to iron out the creases instead of ignoring and going out having too much fun!
Lesson number one - get him working from the shoulder correctly... bleh!

Ride more! Just in general. I've been lazy this year and have been using his bout of laminitis as an excuse to not get out and do much with him. More hacking, and more schooling, and perhaps a couple of dressage tests :). Would also like to get back into showing, did a bit when he was younger and did quite well. Would like to get out and do some veteran and coloured classes this year.

The ginger ninja seems to like jumping in the school and even pops logs on hacks... next step to build on that and hire out our local xc course. he doesn't object to water either, so I wanna get him more and more used to it :)
