what are your views on the chifney bit?

i had a very naughty pony for loading, she would run off and be extremely naughty, couldn't be controlled even in a bridle. so we decided to put her in a chifney. she was amazing, never been naughty since!!

i think that if the bit is used with respect it can be very useful, but in the wrong hands can cause a lot of damage, what do you think?
