what bit could i try

hi all just wondered if you could give some advise ,my 14.1hh pony is in a loose ring snaffle at the moment but he sometimes is hard to pull up in it so i was thinking of trying something a bit stronger can you recomend anything ?

in what way is he strong? Does he lean on your hands? or does he more just lock his neck and tank off, Or is he just damright ignoring you?

Well pickle used to do that shove his head on the floor and then make a run for it I now use a waterford really made a difference stopped his just putting his head down leaning on my hands grabbing the bit then running

I have this (ps on this site shop4bits you can trial the bits for 2-4 weeks I think have used them before they are really good)

had same trouble with mine, bought a lozenged pelham neue shule bit from shop4bits worked fab, get no pulling and is light as a feathe in his mouth now, cant believe the difference

I ride my very strong cob in a dutch gag and it works brilliantly for him, not everyone likes them though but it's the only bit i have found that jig goes nicely in
