What bit is this?

New horse was rode with a bit I've never seen before, as she not coming with tack I will need to get some, she is a polo horse, the bit looked like a large ring snaffle but had a cord running through centre of rings on mouthpiece attached to the reins. This was attached to cheek pieces to headpiece.. Any one know what it's called. Have searched shires catalogue can't see it..
