I am really stuck to what bit I should use on my mare, she is a responsive ride, works in an outline most of the time, except for transitions. Dont want anything that will lift her head up. I would use a happy mouth or softer plastic version anyway. But does anyone know what bit would suit her, she is currently ridden in either a plain jointed snaffle, which I need a little more control, or a hanging cheek which she doesn't really like. Willing to try hackamore, or completly different bits that aren't commonly used. Any advice, or what bits do you use?

Have u tried something straightbar as i had a friend with exactly the same problem and so she used a striaght bar happy mouth snaffle. She also got the dentist out, before he was due to have it and realised that it was because he had teeth growing and they were sharp so that ws why in his transitions he put his head up. Might not be the case for you but just thought id say incase. Good luck with finding something
