getting a new horse on friday who is ridden in a 3 ring gag (on the second ring). but i dont think he was happy at all... i was told when i went to see him that i had to use my seat to stop him and i had to practically ride with "washing lines", as if i had a good contact on his mouth he would get faster and faster. so he went round with his head in the air, and if i accidently pulled him slightly he threw his head up and went.
we are going to have his teeth checked tomorrow before we bring him home, but if thats all clear what bit do you recommend?

many thanks.

i would agree go back to using a snaffle, i dont know why people put dutch gags on horse that throw their heads up...it just makes them worse.
