What bit

I think that I have tried every jointed bit under the sun and my mare still gets marks on her inner lips right in the corner where her bit lies, almost like bruising. You have to look right inside her mouth and turn the corner of her lips inside out to see them. I do not use excessive rein contact as my horse is very responsive and I am defo not a heavy handed rider. This even happens when we hack out with hardly any contact. Her teeth have been done recently and this has made no difference. She does chew her bit alot so am convinces that she is causing this herself.
Should I now try mullen mouth bits or would these put even more pressure on the sides of her mouth. Happy mouth bits are a little better but not much and she chews through these in no time.
Any ideas ?????

How about going a size up to give extra space either side (so you can fit at least your little finger either side)

Also you could try dropping the bit in the mouth a little and don't use a noseband to close the mouth which also always pushes the bit higher in the mouth.
