Whilst riding?

I forget to breath when jumping, I actually passed out whilst jumping round a HOYS qualifier, I got the 9th fence, stopped riding and slipped out the side door with a thump. Fail. never attempted a course that size since lol.
Even now, 6 years on, my Mum still shouts ''Breath!!!'' when i'm jumping a round, even at home

Not really bizarre, but when I start jumping I get really nervous and forget to breathe, so I go round saying 'we can do this, we can do this'! Must look like a right muppet, but it seems to work, well most of the time! lol!

When jumping... if I feel the jump is a little onn the large size ( over 2'6") I shut my eyes!

Hehe I have a picture somewhere of me on my first pony jumping a drop fence on a xc course and we both have our eyes squeezed shut!!!

Not sure if mine is nerves or just concentration!! Maybe its more common than I think lol

This will probably make me sound bonkers!

But when hacking my youngster (well, 7 year old but he's green ) if I feel him get tense, I sing to him...seems to work too.

We've hacked to all manner of songs, Westlife, Queen, Duran Duran, I'm yet to find his favourite song though

I clam up and grip so tight when I am trying too hard in a lesson. I literally couldn't squeeze anything any tighter (my poor mare). Yesterday was a perfect example, at the end of the lesson my instructor told me to keep working for a few mins with my eyes closed (in walk). With the slightest bend and a tiny, tiny leg pressure my fatty mare started doing the most amazing leg yielding. Have been fighting and working against her the whole time!

I often don't remember jumping when I've exited the ring, hence why I like my mum to video at shows

Another with show jumping tourettes with added squeaking if horse goes on a long one- very glad show centres play music 2 drown me out!!

Another tourettes sufferer here....... it's actually very embaressing! Quite a lot of the time I don't even realise I've done it until my instructor tells me off... :/
