As title really, time for me to invest in a new body protector and was just wondering what everyone else wears! Thanks in advance :)

I wear a racesafe not the safest out there compared to the kanteq but it doesn't restrict me in anyway I really like wearing it because its so flexible. I used to have an aerowear one but it felt so restrictive I never wore it unless I had to by rules I now wear a BP when ever I jump :)

Kan for backing young horses and for very lively ones at home, because imho it's the most protective on the market, and also supremely comfortable.
Exo for xc because it's the only one that prevents crush injuries in a worst-case-scenario full rotational fall.

I have an airowear zippa BP.
It's a nice fit and comfy - I forget I'm wearing it.

Best advice for which BP is to go to a well stocked tack shop and try as many on as you can, this will give you an idea of what is best for you :)

Rodney Powell because I wanted one that zipped up and it was the best fit in the tack shop I bought it from. Doesn't fit that well now though as I've lost weight since I bought it, so only wear it when I absolutely have to i.e. xc and riding young/unfamiliar horses, it's on the list of things to replace this year.

I have an Airowear Zippa one too, a zip up the front one, child's size! Very comfy. For the few falls I've had it's helped to absorb the impact without a doubt. Wouldn't stop me from breaking an arm or leg obviously but for my back and shoulders it's done the job. Only problem I've had with mine is my jacket rubs at the back so the cover of the body protector wears thin at the base and the stretchy material started to split and in the 6 years I've had it I've had to replace the cover and the new cover almost cost as much as the body protector itself.

Thanks for the replies! Think I'll have to go to a well stocked tack shop! Just been to robinsons and they only stock airowear and I've already got one and don't find them that comfortable. I need a body protector which I can hardly feel! I'm not doing any eventing and I don't think I'm doing any xc this year- so just going to be used for jumping and dressage on green horses.

I use a Harry Hall beta level 3 lack one with reflective piping. I chose it because I recognize the brand (I either get Champion, Harry Hall or Charle's Owen stuff) I got a Charle's Owen hat, because it's sooo comfy compared to the champion, but I would happily wear any of those branded body protectors (does CO make body protectors?)

The Body protector is nice and comfy, and warm, and also helps me straighten my very haunched back when I'm riding :). Ironically I got it AFTER I fell off and did my back in, and I've yet to fall off in it haha

Another vote for Kan - I feel much safer in it than my previous one, and it's so comfortable I could wear it 24/7. I even untack, muck out and drive home in it often cos I can't be bothered to take it off!

i have the rodney powell elite, its very comfy would recommend, but the best thing is to go to a good tack shop and try on lots of different makes and styles and find the one that is right for you.

I love your term, want one I can hardy feel, the one that feels like you have not got it on is the Kanteq, it totally fits your body shape and last forever, very safe with motorbike technology.

My friend has a Kan one, it has boob shaoes so they don't get squashed. It felt very heavy to pick up though - not sure if you notice this when wearing. I also need a new one. I have the very small rigid navy blue (maybe aerowear?) one that i bought for BHS exams about 12 years ago. Wouldn't go round me these days and hated wearing it even when it did fit it was so restrictive.

Like the look of the racesafe ones that are made of lots of little sections.

Just Togs B2 BP. Level 3

Light weight, breathable, the shape moulds to your body after a couple of uses, easy to put on, good strong zip and plastic fastenings, in sections so you can remove and clean each part easily, also adusts both at the waiste and the shoulders so you get a more tailered fit, I wear it all the time so it gets some hammer, would I buy another? yes.
