ive decided im going to a buy a good quality pair of boots that will be warm and dry and last
mainly for yard work,

what can you recommend, i like the dubarry boots but they are a bit too pricey!

I think muck boot co welly type boots are the best, they lasted me over 12 months, worn every day, all weathers for all yard work and usually rode in them too (6 times a week) which didn't split them.

In the end they got very worn so I had a nice new pair, they were about £50 and worth every penny!

I had a pair of dublin river boots, budget couldn't strech to Dubarry's

Unfortunately dispite them looking good & keeping my feet nice & warm they started leaking at just over 7 months old, i took them back to the place of purchase & was offered a new pair in exchange but told i had to wait till Feb for my replacement

In the meantime i bought myself a pair of long Woof Wear yard boots to see me through the winter & have been rather impressed with them. In all the ice & snow we have had recently they have really stood up to the test & keep my feet snuggly & warm, they are even water proof - bonus

have to give the muck boots a vote, im now on my second "wellie type" and also have the joddy boot version. love love love them! (and not slipped on ice yet....tho a few near misses recently!)
hope that helps!

Aigle, the isotherm ones. I was always a hunter girl, til the quality went downhill & I was fed up with freezing feet.

These ones are about £90, but worth the extra & really comfy too.
