No idea :confused3:

Could be anything from full TB, to Selle Francais, overheight New Forest, Welsh D, ISH, part shire, part arab........the list can go on....

Its a bit of a minefield trying to guess from a basic description of 'chestnut 15.3' to be honest :)

Hi- to have an idea of breed we would need pics but the probability is she isn't 'pure' anything

passport- have you already sorted a passport for her? If not this is your first priority. From your post it sounds like you know it was silly to buy with no passport but a dealer in horses would know that selling with no passport is an offence so it suggests they were covering some sort of negative history up. If you did not have this horse vetted, do so to make sure there are no nasty medical surprises!!

this is what the BHS says re buying with no passport :
It is a legal requirement that a horse is sold with its passport. The BHS strongly advises that buyers do not purchase the horse if it does not have a passport. The owner of the horse must obtain a passport for the horse before it is sold. If you decide to purchase a horse without a passport, an offence will be committed if the horse is then transported to its new yard without a passport.
The buyer of the horse should check that the passport matches the description of the horse. If the passport was issued from 1 July 2009 the passport may not have a completed silhouette but will have a microchip number. The BHS advises that before purchasing a horse a pre-purchase veterinary examination is completed. At the time of the examination the veterinary surgeon can check that the implanted microchip in the horse matches the microchip number in the passport. For further advice see the BHS advice on Buying or Loaning a Horse (pdf).

If you upload the photos to photobucket (or similar) you can then copy the IMG codes and paste them in the forum reply box. Or you can upload them from your computer into an album on your forum profile.
