Sorry to sound really dim and undeserving of this beautiful mare! But I was wondering what breed she was exactly? A few people have said she is a Holstein, a few people have alluded to her as a Hanovarian... what exactly is the difference between these two breeds? She is approved by the Zangersheide stud, is sired by Sandro Z and her dam was an approved Zangersheide mare by 'Master'.

Sandro Z was a Holstein, can't find what breed her Dam is, but all I know is that she is an approved mare of the Zangersheide stud book, and is by 'Master', who is down as being Hanovarien.

Whose the passport with? She can be a mixture of alot of different "breeds" but it is her passport which will tell you what "breed" she is

Zangersheide never replied to any of my emails when I enquired about my boy, his mum was a dutch warmblood and his dad was registered Zangersheide. I tend to just call my boy a Zangersheide as that is the breed he is listed as on his passport. They did send me back his passport really quickly though when I registered as his owner. I hope the vetting goes ok, she looks the spitting image of my boy and he has a very trainable attitude and is a great fun horse, fingers crossed and good luck

My boy is 5 and I have had him 4 months, I want to event him, we have done a little sj, 1 hunter trial and dressage where he got over 70% for his first prelim. I am hoping to take him to the ode at tweseldown next week if I feel he is ready. Will try and get a picture.
