What breed is this horse please.

Hi Can anoyone please tell me what this horse is.
I have been told it is a TB and i have been told its an Irish Sports horse, so what do you think he is please.
He is 16.3 HH

Typical TB conformation. How old is he? If under 11 will have a microchip if he is.

I don't think he's pure TB. Is he really 16.3hh - it must just be tne photo!!

Tb with a splash of ID I think - you can call that an Irish Sports Horse if you wish

He is lovely!
A lot of Irish TBs are slightly more thicker set than TBs on the main land and make good chasers.

Looking at him though he could have some ID in him perhaps 1/4.

He has a very kind eye, nice generous ears and relaxed muzzle. I like him whatever he is!

Irish Sports Horses are Id x TB its just a ridiculous name to make them seem a bit more interesting I feel lol

Id say hes a cross TB.

irish sports horses were orginally a cross between the irish draft and the tb tho now they can have conemara or sometimes warmblood in them and still be called an ISH along as the mare is a registered ISH
...id say yours is either a full tb if hes from ireland.. our hunt horses tend to be chunkier than the english eqiuvalent...either that or an ISH with a lot of tb in him..do u have any other pics of his head thats usually where you can spot draft in a ISH

Thank you for all your reply’s there all appreciated.
The horse originally was brought from Ireland. He is 7 years old.
We were also told he had been hunted, how far that is true we just do not know.
To be honest thats all we really know about him, and we would really love to know what breed he is hence the reason for the topic.
When we bought him he was very thin and frail but he is looking much better now, I can upload a picture of him when we 1st bought him if any one would like to see him then, however you may be shocked. But I think that’s why my partner fell in love with him, so where ever he did come from he has obviously not been looked after well at all.
But now he has a loving home and caring owners that will look after him

Anyway I have rambled on to much
