The 'convince the mother a dog is a good idea' plan is going ok 
The only breeds i have any knowledge of really are JRT & GSD. Neither would be suited at my house
So what breed to live in a small house with a small/medium sized garden but plenty of walks and time at the yard (yard backs onto forestry commision country park
)
Would have to get on with a cat, bunny and budgies and leave the cat alone! (neighbours spaniel found this out the hard way!

Most of the time someones home, but it would need to be left alone sometimes.
And would have to get on with other dogs as even though we are a small yard theres 4 GSD's, 2 JRTs, 2 spaniels, 2 sheepdogs, a staff, a boxer and a yorkie
So which breed would be best suited?
