Any idea of what my mare may have in her. Her passport says Sports Horse, and I've read that this means they don't know what the breed is? She's 16hh rising 11.
I have googled her breeder and the horses which pop up are mainly Warmblood and coloureds(I think!)
This is her:

And one of her tacked up... Please excuse the rubbed mane! Stupid rugs :(

I honestly don't know what breed she could be, when people ask what she is I just say tbX

She does act like a typical TB at times to be honest :)
But to me her legs seem to have a lot more bone than a tb?
Her best buddy is a TB and her legs are a lot daintier (spelling)

I don't know, I'm terrible with breeds :D

Don't forget that Irish TBs bred for point to pointing rather than the flat are much bigger and chunkier animals than fine flat TBs. All the "sports horses" I've ever known came from Ireland, and yes I do think they slap that title on anything that whinnies!

Could you phone the breeder and ask?
I say sport horse too :)

I sent them a letter last year, but didn't get a reply :( I stated that it was purely for my purpose only and being rising 16 (:p) what am I going to do with information on breeding? She had 2 foals as well and I was desperate to find out about them!

If she has got Irish pedigree, I'd def say she's an Irish Sports Horse which does tend to be a euphemism for a pic n mix but is properly an IDxTB, slightly more TB I reckon, and it is possible that they threw in a bit of Warmblood along the way.

She's a stunner though, that's what I wanted to say !

I bought her from a friend of a friend last sept and he was Very honest with everything. He bought her straight from the breeder at 7years, and she had only been backed for 6months. She was used as a broodmare until 7.

Thank you :-)
