im looking to buy a new havana/dark brown flash/grackle bridle but am stuck for choice!
not too fussed on the price but would obviously prefer to save on pennies if i can, as long as they are good quality bridles.
any recommendations?

Just bought a Cliff Barnsby erganomic(sp) bridle. Really nice but I have swapped my browband and nose band from previous bridle as they look a bit chunkier and suit my horse. I love Jeffries IR bridles and also have a very good copy off ebay

I have the GFS grakle/mexican bridle, think it was about £60 and is good quality but the dye tends to come off when you clean it but doesnt make a difference to how it looks for some reason. I can hunt out a piccy if you wish lol .. ETS .. its the bridle on the left in siggy

One of my boys has a Treadstone one which he has for five years and it's still in good condition even after getting soaked in the rain many times over the years! It wasn't cheap but you do pay for the quality of the leather. My other boy has an Albion bridle which is also lovely!

An ancient Stubben, a not so ancient traditional hunter bridle, and a fairly new hunter style double bridle.

A not so ancient inhand bridle, again, hunter style.

I like bridles and bits.

Collegiate flash bridle in black, got it for my birthday in August. Not had it long but I love it so far, it looks really smart. I did get another set of reins for it as I didn't like the rubber covered ones it came with so I got the Collegiate 1/2 rubber ones, which I really like - all the grip with none of the bulk!

i have 2 heritage comfort bridles one was given to me and cleans up like new dipsite it being nearly 7 years old.

I have just bought the same one again in black as i love it so much and wanted it to match my tack.

The leather is nice and soft and it was a bargain at just under £50 and english leather!

Collegiate for schooling and John Whittikar with grackle for jumping and hacking. I love them both

I love Jeffries - I know they are pricey but they are such fantastic quality and last for years without looking the slightest bit worn.

Look on ebay - there are a couple on there at seriously low prices - well below shop prices anyway.

I'm another Jeffries fan, I have a Jeffries bridle that I bought for starting a young horse 14 years ago and it looks as good as new! The only make I'll buy as they last ages and always clean up beautifully.

I have a plain sabre bridle for my gelding, very old but love it - Imo there the type of bridles which suit being old (If that makes sense) and for my mare I have a frank banes in a havana colour which i LOVE!

Kieffer comfort bridle (fantastic, nearly 5 years old and still cleans up beautifully :) )

(The actual bridle, sorry it's not a very good photo).

and a Stubben CTD in chocolate (lovely colour, it's only 6 months old but I think that it will last as it's super quality leather.)

I have an Elevator bridle, love it!! Its been well used and lasted well, i plan on buying another one when this one bites the dust.

I also have a Shires double bridle, doesn't get used often anymore, but thats really nice and some lush italian leather one for best, but it was a handmade one i got a Burghley a couple of years ago.

My OH has this, and its a very nice bridle, plus the bit clips make it so much easier to change bits....and is a bargain at £60.

its only £44 on this site http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...bridle&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbs=isch:1&um=1&itbs=1

I`ve got a Barnsby Comfort bridle with a flash which i adore, leather is fab and always looks smart, dont know how much as it was an Xmas present last year

Got loads of bridles (including Webbing and Zilco ones) but if we're talking leather bridles, the best bridle I've ever had in terms of value for money, is a Heritage Comfort Bridle. It cost me about £30 5 or 6 years ago and is still in excellent condition despite hard use (and despite me not being the best person at tack cleaning either). You can still get Heritage bridles for less than £50 and I would highly recommend these for the price.
