Millie is having the winter off to give her ringbone chance to settle down, but I think she needs to do something to stimulate her brain a bit as she's getting a bit grumpy. I feel a bit guilty as my other one is getting a lot of attention as I'm riding him and doing lots with him. I need some ideas of fun things to do with Millie that don't involve riding or doing anything too strenuous, any ideas...? :D

can I mention the P-word...

Parelli....

It is a structured way to keep your horse entertained and you're learning new skills and she's having to concentrate

(I'll add in here- I don't agree with everything about parell- but it's a structured way of keeping horses going without riding them...)

*sits back... waits for the abuse to start*

Most horses will be very happy roughed off. Take rugs off as much as possible, and get outside grazing.

For some bonding time, just grooming and attention now and again. Your horse really won't be bothered about not being ridden, honestly!

Reg is having the winter off, and despite being Mr ADHD is loving chilling in a field with 2 little ponies, doing feck all... The only thing to keep him occupied is fighting the little buggers off his dinner (and despite them both being 12hh tubs, they need locking away before he's fed because he's too polite to ask them not to eat his dinner...).

I think it's just me missing doing a bit of girly bonding with her TBH! I had thought of the P-word. She's out for a good 12 hours a day, she waits by the gate to be brought in and then when she's in looks miserable as sin!!

horse agility ;)
