I have a welsh sec a, who can't be ridden or wear a bit.
She lunges okay but she gets very bored and had problems with a slipping stifle earlier this year so obviously dont want to do too much lunging! Have tried longreining in the past but she gets very strong and confused as i can't use a bit to guide her and can't find a bitless bridle that she respects.
Ive taught her to bow before and wouldnt mind teaching her some more tricks, but nothing dangerous as she tends to have little moments every now and again and i dont want her to learn rearing ect is ever acceptable.
Shes a smart little pony when she wants to be and gets bored easily so i need some new things to challenge her.
Ta in advance :)

Have you tried lunging with two reins so you can do figures of eight, serpentines etc? As you're intending on sending her in circles, rather than long reining from behind, there's no issue with her getting strong, you just send her circling and she has to slow herself down.

Ive tried from behind and on circles, she just tanks off and i tend to lose her no matter how hard i try and hold on :p

Why can't she be bitted?

Shes got a deformed jaw and really weird teeth!

I did a load of clicker training with my boy when he was a baby; it was great fun watching the cogs turn as he tried to work out what he had to do. Target training is useful too for reinforcing good manners..
