Hi there,

I've got a 9month old Sprocker, we've been feeding him burns since we had him at 12 weeks old and or though he started off fussy, he now eats A LOT of the stuff.. Problem is, it's £50 a bag and i really cannot afford to pay that!

I realise the burns is the top end of the scale and is good stuff but i was wandering if anyone could reccomend me another food to put him on that is perhaps the middle of the range?

He's a strapping great chap already at 9 months, very tall and is the perfect weight.. so i don't need to put large amounts of weight on him, i just need to keep his current condition.

:Has anyone tried Field and Trial dog food? what is it like?

Thanks!

and it's not full of additives? Brilliant news, i shall be going to pick up a bag this weekend :), just seriously cant spend £50 every 3 months!

If anyone can suggest any others to thiink about please feel free!

Annoyingly there is only two places down here that stock it (well two places that are local to me..) both then chuck VAT on top which is why it is so expensive! Suddenly he's started eating everything we put in front of him.. so i am less concerned about him not eating something (because he's being fussy).

Will shop around anyway though, never know what i might find :D have emailed skinners just in case!

buy online and get it delivered.

I feed fish4dogs and is RRP £55 and get it for £36 a bag delivered for free direct to my door.

skinners were very helpful with me and sent me three sample bags very quick. i get it for just under £20 delivered and got to choose the day they delivered.
dogs at home are on arden grange lamb and rice - £57 for two bags from vetmedsdirect. over easter one bag lasted just under 3 weeks for a 50kg, 25kg, 15kg and 11kg. all good weight on it - have gained weight on this but not massively. holly did prefer the arden grange to the skinners though!
