what class would you show this colt in? cookies for all that help!

this is my ERR 11 month old gypsi cob x welsh d colt. i realy want to take him out showing next year but im not sure what classes to put him in. any help would be great
 
i would say when hes older to hog him out and do cob classes with him.Untill then you could plait him and do welsh pb and possibly hunters i would say
 
thanks every one :) hes a sweety. ill have to take some more pics tonight as hes just lost the last of his winter coat.
i was thinking of hunter but i didnt want to look silly taking a cob in lol. when hes older i hope to do maxi cob with him if he doesnt get too heavy.

Please dont do hunter classes, he isnt by any stretch of the imagination a hunter. I am not saying he wont be able to hunt, but he is not what is classed as a hunter. I would wait and see what he looks like in the summer and do welsh PB locally. But TBPH I dont think that showing will be his forte.

thank you for being so honest, i agree with you on the hunter classes, i did wonder if id look silly but then iv seen a few people take cobs into local hunter classes so didnt know. unfortunatly there are no welsh pb classes localy.
 
Have to say I agree with Pastie. However, most shows at local level have a youngstock class open to any breed/type 3yo and under. Wouldn't hurt to take him in that for the experience :)
 
yeah :) i like brutal honesty lol you probrably just saved me from making a tit of myself at the local shows.
im not planing on showing competitively just to get him out next year for the experience, maby show pony or handsomist gelding (once the knackers are off lol)
