Why is it with my Welsh Sec D once affiliated to showing you can only really compete in one class (Natives/M&M/Welsh D) whichever is on. Does anyone else show in other classes??
Showing I did workers (M&M and open), ridden (M&M, Welsh D etc), Style and performance (M&M and open) and inhand with my Welsh D (dark bay in siggy). When unaffiliated did riding club horse, ridden hunter etc too.
Theres quite a few classes open to Welsh D's even at affiliated level, novice, open, combination, working hunter, competition M&M.
Just because you affiliate doesn't restrict you from other classes, if he's not a typey D you can always plait up and try hunter classes, or hog it and try cob classes.
At affiliated level there are specific breed or type classes, there is a standard or ideal picture that the animal must fit into...hence if you have a proper D you couldn't show in cob classes, as your animal's action, conformation etc won't fit the standard. Does that make any sense?
