what colour do you put on your bays?

Ok, so picked up a new family pony yesterday and am having a disagreement already with my daughter as to which colours for his accessories! I love a bay in dark green, she loves red. So what do you lot think? Anyone got pics of their colour co-ordinated horses??

Im a dark green fan, tho its hard to find stuff cos saddlery places say its considered an unlucky colour (?!!) - unlucky for them when I go elsewhere to shop I reckon! But have dipped into bright red too.

The other colour that weirdly looks nice but only on a dark glossy bay is baby blue! (tho my big chap says it makes him look a bit metrosexual)

My girl has a maroon headcollar, a selection of different coloured numnahs and pads. She dosent really have a colour, although most of her collection is blue!
I do like bright red though, also white looks super smart as does a rich chocolate brown

i use dark green for everyday riding too and for cross country baby blue.

I just looked at baby blue...I found a leather headcollar in baby blue ...with bling.... daughter approved, pony might not lol. I also like yellow but cant find much in yellow. :-D

I know she's not bay but heres Lucy in most of her green stuff.

I do have a green hat silk and numnah but i couldn't find them intime for this ride.
Heres Horrid my bay roan in his red headcoller. I'm slowly getting him all red stuff. Grooming kit, fly hat, numnah. I think red looks good on a bay.

He couldn't have green though as that was Lucys colour

Red does NOT go with Genie - she's a very red bay. She tends to have green and purple stuff, and also some navy.

Our (bright) bay wears red, we have the same headcollar and rope as Herbie, bought a cheap numnah in red the other day and it looks lovely. He's also got an embroidered saddlecloth in brown with white trim and embroidery.

I'd say that pretty much any color but black but that's my view. I really like bays in all shades of chocolate.

Ive had a bay in green, a bay in baby blue and my current bays in red

Any colour suits them really! Honey looks fab in red and black & white, but she rocks every colour ..

Pink ..

Green ..

Blue ..

Red ..

Purple ..

I think light colours suit him best!

dont have a bay but they looks great in most colours something brightsometimes looks nice on a darker one though, red, baby blue, pink, green almost anything

When i show my boy he has a pink browband and im matching in my pink brought him and light blue and dark blue headcollar for him yesterday at Gatcombe but i did use dark green on him and looked lovely on him x

My pony is quite a dark bay and he looks good in navy blue and grey. He looks a bit silly wearing red lol

My lad is dark bay and his saddlecloths are mainly burgandy and dark green as they both look great. We also have a bright bay and he has a ton of different colours thanks to my sisters slightly wacky taste - bright red, dark red, bright blue, lime green, dark green, royal blue and she's after a yellow one next. He seems to suit most things - luckily!

tend to avoid red as it tends to fade and look a bit horid. And it clashes with ginger bays!

My boy looks lovely in Royal Blue, Navy, purple and I would think would look good green.
