Just wondering what colours everyone uses for their horses or what they think matches the best to different colours. I think chestnut and dark green saddle pad etc look lovely! What about you?

I don't know!! I have black everything... maybe I'm boring?? Every time I think about branching out to other colours I never know which.. horses are a very dark bay and a grey!!

I agree, dark green on a chestnut is lovely. My bright bay mare really looked lovely in navy. My current mare is a brown buckskin and purple suits her the best.

According to him, brown. Especially mud coloured :p

Otherwise I think he looks pretty smart in most colours, helps that he's coloured himself lol. And he's a handsome horse :p Deep green, dark blue (not navy!) and red would be my faves :)

My bay roan really suits green, especially deep jade green. He also looks good in purple. Moot point though, as he's a field ornament! My other gelding is mostly white - Moroccan pattern tovero - so he suits any colour, but I prefer him in blue. The little companion pony has ended up with bright pink, just because she looks cute in it :D

My gelding is also grey so suits any colour.

I tend to stick to blue mainly. Though we have a lot of blue/red/black things which I think look good on him :)

My shetland who is chestnut and white, but a really dark almost bay looking chestnut really suits red, my Dale's is black,I love him in burgundy and turquoise :-)

My horses wear black and white. I have enough problems co-ordinating my wardrobe as it is, never mind having to match what the horse is wearing!

Flea bitten grey B has brown tack to tie in with his brown flecks and suits blue. I like navy but he actually suits royal blue best. I'm toying with trying a really dark red - so hinting this in my Christmas ideas ;) but then this would mean a whole new wardrobe for ME!!!!

I had my colours done years ago when that was a thing, me not the horse(!). The lady said that everyone can wear turquoise and I think the same goes for horses.

Both of mine are bright bay they mainly have everything in brown but they do look smart in there Newmarket stripe exercise rugs that's about the only colourful thing I have for them, and I nearly bought the brown and cream stripe ones instead glad I didn't now though.
