Hello!

I've been searching for a green competition jacket for what feels like forever and i've ordered the Horseware AA Motion Lite in Hunter Green to try.

Could I have your opinions on what colour hat, gloves and boots you would wear, please?

I'm riding a chestnut who is in brown tack. I LOVE the Shires Moretta brown boots but don't know if it'd be too much brown.

Do I go for black hat, gloves and boots? If yes to the brown boots, what colour for hat and gloves o_O?

Any thoughts before I sell the chestnut and find a grey who will match anything ;)

It might depend on what types of competition you are doing?

At the moment I ride my chestnut in Tweed with a blue velvet collar. with all brown tack, brown Ariat Bromonts, Brown Gloves. For dressage as I’m only doing up to Prelim I’m wearing the tweed and a blue hat with a rose gold detail and a rose gold/ coppery stock. For showing I wear a blue velvet hat. I’ve got a blue jacket for dressage also but it’s a bit snug at the moment.

I’d happily go all brown accessories with a green jacket.

Ah sorry, that would have helped!

It was mainly for (unaff) dressage, a bit of SJ and ODE. I have tweed for when we used to show but I struggle with the heat and thought the new type of 'show' jackets might be kinder in the warmer weather.

I fancied having a go at some BD so wanted to make sure we still looked reasonable if we were to try some.

I'm glad to hear of someone who competes in long, brown boots. I don't know if it's just me but I only ever see black :)
