Didn't really know where to put this so just plonked it in here :D

Going to start showing next year, starting off with inhand youngstock and when he is older planning to do Riding horse classes, just local shows to begin with and then hopefully progress to a higher level.
At the moment he is 9 months old and rather a bright zingy orange chestnut, was wondering what colour tweed you think would work well?

Also inhand bridle, which browband is he supposed to wear? eg coloured/brass/plain?
Am I right in using a plain leather lead with coupling?
He is a TB X ISH colt and has a large blaze, what colour browband would you suggest?

All suggestions and info is much appreciated and will be taken on board :)

Do you have a picture of him as a tb x ish could be anything from a hack to a hunter so that will all depend on turnout. If he's a bright orange I would go for green tweed, cream shirt and a bright tie. Go for trousers and boots with grip, maybe invest in some football togs for extra grip and either a flat cap or beagler to finish the picture

Inhand slip iand leather lead is fine but when he hits 2, he must be bitted

I would think riding horse would be right to try him in at the moment but i think he will end up over height for them as he matures. so you need a coloured browband (which incidently i make ;-) ). I would stay away from reds and maybe go cream and green or burgundy, blue etc

You could also try him in sports horse classes which is leather browbands but you could get a nice plaited leather one to go on him. I also wouldn't have too thin a noseband on him, good luck
