Hi everyone,

Which colour do you think would complement my liver chestnut beasty the most?? I have been looking for a thermatex rug and can't believe how many colours they offer

I am terrible with choice haha...
Thanks in advance.

bottle green suits all colours, navey blue might not stand out enough. I think yellow might suit. Perhaps bottle green with yellow binding.

General rule of thumb is that you mustnt put yellow or red on a chestnut.....however I have known some chestnuts on whom yellow looks lovely! If he is a really dark rich colour then I would go with either a very dark green or a navy blue.....although if you could get a black one that would look v v v smart!

I like bottle green on my liver chestnut, although she looks pretty nice in her new royal blue turnout rug - well, she did until she rolled! Black always looks smart for numnahs etc.

although black and white would suit a chestnut i'm not sure about grey and i agree with what mizelz said about red and yellow on chestnuts because it is on a liver chestnut I think it would look good just as binding. If it was the main rug I think it would look bad.

My daughter has a liver chestnut gelding and he really suits hunter green and deep purple. Maybe you could choose one colour for the rug and the other for the binding?

First, black with yellow binding, second, green with gold and thirdly, royal blue with black???? What should I choose and do you think he would look a bit gay if I bought him matching leg wraps
