My horse was out all day as normal today. Left him rugless as it was warm. At four o clock I got the first two in and my horse and one other were left out. Went back ten mins later to get the him And his friend.
When I got him back to the yard I noticed he was puffing a bit but I put it down To him running about whilst he was waiting and it being warm. Groomed him, sheet on and put him in with hay, feed And water.
I then rode two more. When I finished two hrs later I checked him. He had Bern lying down, left his tea and had a Very high respiratory rate. His heart rate was up And his temp was high. Took the sheet off and kind of thought colic but he was NT showing the normal signs and Would still eating carrots and treats. His gums were pale too.
Called vet who said he Would come but in the time I spoke to the vet he went back to normal. All breathing ect normal, eating hay and was relaxed and happy. Just Been to check him and all fine except gums still a bit pale. Any ideas? ???
