my 20 year old i noticed today has a small bony lump just below the knee on the outside on both front legs shes been a bit sore lately maybe because of these? shes been retired for 2 years now any idea what they maybe are. Thanks

On the outside?

I would have said splints but obviously not if they are on the outside of the legs.

My guess would be some sort of arthritic changes, but it would depend exactly how close to the knee joint they are.

Have the splint bones been damaged?
Kick, hard ground etc?

they are right below the knee definetly on the outside on the cannon bone, not hard ground weve been really wet here maybe a kick but odd how on both front legs in exactly the same spot not sore to touch or any heat just very hard. :/
