My mare is 25 and I've had her for 21 years. She's TB x ID and has never developed a heavy coat in winter.
She has two strange "arches" of hair on top of her croup on either side of her spine (no arches on the spine). It is normal hair, not curly and doesn't stand-up on end. There are no lumps under the hair and no signs of anything abnormal, ie. scabs, rubs etc. These arches are a bit bigger than a 50p piece and about half to three quarters of an inch high. Her rugs haven't caused this and there is no sensitivity in the area.
She is well in all respects and her coat is in very good condition generally.
Any thoughts please..? Thanks in advance.
