what do i do???

My mare has outgrown her medium gullet on her wintec saddle (only baby so muscling up). she now needs a medium-wide. however i cannot get hold of the saddler and my lorry is going in for service. If he comes out it is normally 3 weeks wait, if i take her to him then i can go whenever but the lorry is supposed to be going to be serviced this weekend.

Can I change the gullet myself????

Yes easy. Two screws on the inside of the gullet, undo these. Then pull apart the saddle at the front which gives you access to two more screws which are the ones holding the gullet in place. Undo, take gullet out, replace with new one and the above in reverse.l

yes you can change the gullet yourself, its pretty easy and all you need is a couple of screwdrivers. there should be instructions on the internet somewhere

I've been looking into getting a wintec recently and I saw on their site they have a step by step guide to changing gullet yourself. Although, hopfully someone who has a wintec already can give you a definite answer...

It's really easy but better with two people, especially as the gullet sizes get larger
