Round my way (South East) it's about £150/month for 2 days/week and sometimes a few jobs. For more of a competition horse and the chance to go out and do things, I would expect to pay more but not to have jobs.

I'm South West.
My offer is 2 days a week and can do any extra If they want.
Chance to come out in the lorry when I go to clinics etc.
Poo picking (lives out) and back lady every 6 months.
£80 per month (£65 back check every 6)

Does that sounds fair?

Are they paying half the back check or 100% of it? Will they be the only ones riding the horse?
I think the price seems fair but you may get questions about the back check cost.
It might be easier to budget (for the sharer) if you asked for £90 per month and put that £10 per month towards the back checks.

100% as they will be the only ones riding him.

Yes, though I'd just give them one fee, and include the back check in it.

I’m in Surrey and pay £20 a day with no jobs. Great hacking, Opportunities for lessons and to get out and about in the lorry if I fancy. I’m very lucky!

I am in South East and a few years ago I charged £80 a month for a 15.2hh horse capable of hacking, basic schooling and jumping up to 70cm, at a nice yard with school, jump paddock and decent hacking, assisted diy, one weekend and one weekday with option of more now and again, but I didn't have transport to take them out and about. I think nowadays I would ask £100pm for the same.

I also think it's odd asking to pay extra for the back check, just keep it simple with one monthly cost. Otherwise are you also going to charge saddle fitting costs?

What is the yard like, any facilities?

Also what is the horse like? If out of work and unfit, quirky or in need of schooling then you may need to ask less compared to what you can charge for a perfect schoolmaster.

I have just found someone to ride my recently backed but relatively straightforward pony 2 days a week, I've asked for £65pm plus a wheelbarrow of poo picking on their days as the yard isn't fancy and the pony still learning.

We have a school, jumps, off road hacking for miles.
Pony is capable of all of those, not particularly quirky and she also wants her 2 children to have a ride on him during the week.

I am happy to do the saddle fitting costs but because she is riding I think it's fair she has his back checked every 6 months.

Poo picking would be half a barrow of poo on her days as it's done twice a day so she would do it either morning or afternoon.

It’s generally quite dependant on the quality of the horse / level of education , what the loaner can/can’t do, riding facilities available (ie school and hacking) and level of stable chores required.
