There is a bit of a furore amongst the equestrian youtube community right now: just wanted to know what other people thought about it? Is this abuse or not? Was it necessary to put it up on youtube?

ETA I am in no way involved with any of the people involved in the video/posting it. I just found it as it had received a lot of comments!

ah yeah, didn't realize. It showed a girl hitting a pony around the face several times, and running at it, shouting and calling it names. The footage was jumpy, so it had obviously happened a few times, and it looked like it had almost been taken in secret? At no point in the video did I see the pony behaving in a way that I would have thought would warrant such actions :/ I didn't think the video made very nice viewing, but wanted to know what other people thought.
